Good night from Vineland, where it’s finally cooling down. We hit 100 today it was hot! Lucy wants to go out and for some reason our grass in the yard doesn’t satisfy. We don’t want her on hot pavement so we’ve been going across the street to the little woods, cool, shady and there are blackberries

Good night from Vineland! Between the heat and wildfires to the north and now Spokane, a city I’ve visited on the way to my in laws ranch in Idaho. Because of the heat instead of the paved trail, we’ve been walking Lucy in the little woods across the road where she lives the cool grass and trees

Lots of birds drinking and bathing today in pretty big groups, washing off the smoke. Meanwhile : the creek during Lucy’s Magic Hour👋🌕

Good night from Vineland where the smoke from a raging wildfire about 70 miles from us is blanketing the entire county, also Marin , SF too. Evacuations have been ordered in the area in immediate danger of the fire. So thoughts for the guys on the line and anyone on the run tonight

Big fire 40 miles north of us baaad air

ICE treats people as though we are all on one giant cell block. Their approach is to use prison control tactics on anyone they come in contact with . Nuns, kids, the elderly , women, vets , to them we’re all just cons to be disciplined

Good morning Blueskyers!!! We’ve got bright skies , all the grapes are happy. I filled the birdbath as the goldfinch family showed up and the fledgers were afraid to drink as the water was too low, so I filled it while they waited on an upper branch. Customer’s always right! Time to hit the trail
