This. I am from a rural area that is >90% white and almost all of that white evangelical. The local and state leadership *love* to use the national Dems as a foil to blame all of the outcomes of their failed governance on Democrats elsewhere, and that really means Black people. +

so arguing that Ds fail in rural areas because they don't show up is largely confused. Ds fail in white rural areas because white voters find racism and white identity politics appealing and won't vote for a multi-racial democracy.

The weird part of this is it is really common hypothesis that ADHD brain functions were adaptive in historical contexts and dysfunctional in our context. Like how light skin and eyes are adaptation for low UV environments but sunburns and skin cancer aren't a "social construct" in high UV places.

there are a lot of philosophical concepts that get egregiously misused out of the seminar room (and in the seminar room, to be fair). but in terms of sheer pernicious misuse "social construct" has gotta be top 5 somewhere and it's not number 5

For reference: WA state has *roughly* the same population and the state budget is ~$38B (WA has an ridiculously small state budget thanks to its highly regressive tax structure. It really negaticely affect quality of life in the state. If WA had ID's tax structure, the state budget would be ~$90B)
