If you're interested in talking to people who want to win rather than feel self-righteous, here's my advice: in these sorts of situations being direct without being aggressive or condescending is a lot more effective than this weird performance of coyness

None of us, OP included, know what the information gap in question IS until you say it, or knows why your words might be written off until you say them. You haven't offered enough information for anyone to give you anything but a pat on the back, & it's unclear what other than that you'd want

I am saying it isn't anonymous though, by any definition I'd consider relevant. That's why I'm asking you what YOU consider an anonymous account, and you basically just answered by saying "I consider anonymous accounts to be accounts that are anonymous"

But like, sure, in most cases you can't trivially prove that someone is who they say they are. Maybe some people just have a whole fake online identity they spend hours per week larping as, who can say. Is that what you're saying?

I am sort of curious what, to you, constitutes an anonymous troll account. Because mostly the people I see discuss Will's transphobia are like, normal accounts with provenance and friends and shit, even if they are also often weirdly obsessed with one annoying guy
