I have been using Blackboard Ultra for a total of 18 hours and I've already broken it. This bodes well.

Faculty and academic staff already only tenuously protect educational value and degree integrity, and this “leadership” will ripple far beyond Harvard. Jane has been a crucial, clearheaded voice in adapting to a world with AI, shaping pedagogy and guiding scholars in asking the right questions.

I can’t stop thinking about this class…but how do I get my hands on dictaphones and carrier current tech? But we can make super gross Jello salads!!
Kate JewellWhat if I just turned my class on the US 1945-1968 next spring into experiments with tech from the era: build a carrier-current radio station on campus, use typewriters, use recording and video tech...
One thing I've started doing: I made friends with the general manager of WXPL, and I told students they can get extra credit if they schedule a time with him to go in and do an hour show. They can do whatever they want, just get on air. (our station has LOTS of open time, so it works)
Kate JewellPSA: Many of us have accessible a campus or community radio station. You can volunteer! If you are a faculty member, I highly recommend dropping by and seeing if you can have 30 min or an hour - even just once a month. Talk about what you did in class! Interview a colleague. Put students on air.
