National economic growth comes from "placing our universities at the heart of local economies" - Andy Burnham June 2026. www.msn.com/en-gb/news/n...

I never thought that I would have to write this piece about my university. But after weeks of demonstrating privately to senior managers that their case is based on a false prospectus, that their data are inaccurate and their claims misleading, there was little choice. substack.com/@lucasamin/n...

When your Audhd life can be tricky. We have complex, complicated pasts often, 9 out of 10 autistic women experience sexual violence or abuse in their lifetimes. 9 out of 10. So if you make it to adulthood (plenty don't) your not fragile, your often very tough. The idea that survivors ...

KS3: The Ambitious Years by @marymyatt.bsky.social is the book I get to read as a reward when I'm away at my parents next week.... and this review got me quite excited about it. ❤️

A week in with KS3: The Ambitious Years. @samgibbs.bsky.social review: "Every young person has a right to an education that is rich in knowledge, high in challenge and rooted in belonging. That is not a luxury for some children; it is an entitlement for all." open.substack.com/pub/marymyat...

Soild piece from @daisychristo.bsky.social who I always seem to like reading. 👏👏 Personally I think she's bang on. DT and other technical GCSEs (we normally did deliver) have really taken a beating. But doesn't feel like that's a priority in the great replacement here. So I've got same concerns....

I've weighed in on the great vocational education debate. From what we can see of the govt plans, I think they will repeat mistakes of the past. Also, we need to retire the phrase "parity of esteem". It's not helping. substack.nomoremarking.com/p/the-proble...

😳 RFK Jr's epic CNN crashout 😳 Dana Bash pressed RFK Jr on Trump's culpability for mishandling covid and the misinformation he pushes about vaccines, and the segment wound down with him getting mad and barking at her like a rabid dog Here's the full thing:

Everyone should read this from @drrobertchapman.bsky.social I've made my thoughts on the whole thing on linkedin. Which was hard writing tbh. Deeply uncomfortable this... www.linkedin.com/posts/activi...

🧵On @thenewsagents.co.uk yesterday, school closures and the lab leak theory were offered as two examples of legitimate questions that were hard to ask. Both have in fact been asked constantly since 2020. But here's a thread on why I think they were wrong and dangerous on school closures 1/12

Oddsock and Hank (our visiting dog) We have nicknamed Wednesday and Enid. Are kinda of getting on... I mean I know dogs take after owners but... Guess which one is Wednesday in this... 🤣

I went a IMAX last night in Manchester. Word of warning. Yeah the detail is better, but the seats, noise and general vibe was horrific as a autistic. It was a sensory hell I'll not be repeating.

At the time I raised concerns in TES, & to the DfE, on the data being used to justify it was safe for teachers, students and parents to keep schools open. Many children, staff and parents caught long covid because there was literally zero in schools in regard of protections for a long time....

My parents just lost one of our family dogs (second this year). This totally sucks. Bella was our three legged beauty and I'll miss her so much, as she joins Lily our Westie. Give some thoughts for Elsie who is thankfully still with us.
