Delighted to say that I got up early in order to write the epilogue to my novel, and that's the (unpolished) first draft done!!! Now, like the Hobbit I am, I shall retire for my Second Sleep.

I've been thinking about Sam Neill lately, as many of us have. I loved all his work, and he was clearly a beautiful soul in real life. The role I love him most for was Dr Bruce Chandler in an episode of "Rake". No one else could have played it with such courage, love and gentleness. RIP Sam 💙

"Sweet and Sour" (1984) from the ABC in Australia. We loved this series so much! I still have the vinyl LP soundtrack... Not sure how it would stand up today, but haven't (yet) found a way of finding out.

Gosh! Highs and lows, ups and downs... Life, you know? But I have written an additional 51,109 words on my Arthurian novel, and commissioned some beautiful cover art for it - not to mention received some brilliant submissions to the Arthurian anthology - so I count that as a damned fine year...

My Elizabethan-era characters love the drama of plays and tilts and dressing well, so they are all happy to wear pink. The only exception is Bennet who feels it's important to go unnoticed and usually wears "sad" colours. But then again, if everyone was wearing pink that day, he'd have to fit in.
