I was at the vigil organized by community members from gun violence prevention groups tonight at #Seattle Center. Some folks came and heckled @mayor.seattle.gov. Friends. I know you’re angry and scared. But if I may, let me offer you some better people to yell at. Yell at me. And I can say why 🧵

If you or anyone you know witnessed the shooting today at #Seattle Center, please call the police department tip line at 206-233-5000. At this time the suspected shooter is not expected to be a threat to the public at large, but the Center is still secured. Give space and look after each other.

Everyone please be safe and make room in the area for first responders to work. Check on your friends.

It wasn’t the result we were hoping for but I’m so proud of #Seattle and the @usmnt.ussoccer.com . You gave us a tournament that was all heart and a run no one will forget. And we celebrated it all in the most beautiful city in soccer. We’re gonna keep the party going all the way to the final.
