Even more usefully, (but not included) is that 100hectare = 1km^2. Now *that* is a meaningful figure to me. A square space that would take me about 15 min to walk across. And now it sounds pretty big.

This time within the article we learnt the answer! It's 247.1 acres, or 100 hectares. So, the estimate as provided by the fire service is given to 1 significant figure. The figure in acres is given to an enthusiastic 4 🙄
