I’m not going to make it a secret that I’d rather see El-Sayed represent my state in the US Senate than Stevens, but I’m also not going to pretend there aren’t multiple factors affecting a primary vote, and people can think differently without being evil. However, I think we should all be *honest*.

Would *love* to see someone get a clear answer from Rep. Scholten on what anti-American sentiment she thinks El-Sayed allowed into public discourse. I can’t think of any answer she’d give that isn’t some combination of: 1. Racist 2. Lies 3. Misquotes 4. Predated El-Sayed in public discourse

My wife still talks about patients who denied the existence of COVID *while they were dying from it* It’s part of why she left the hospital setting Watching the people responsible for that trauma - both hers and the patients’ - take another politically motivated go at Fauci is fucking infuriating

What does “publicly acceptable” here mean? 77 million Americans voted for a President who is racist on a number of axes, sexist, transphobic, xenophobic, ableist, antisemitic, and, yes, Islamophobic, and has successfully built public policy around this bigotry.
