There’s this thing where bands blow out their hearing by going to too many loud shows, and so they play even louder. Then the people who go to their shows blow out THEIR ears, and their bands play EVEN LOUDER. Anyway, I just got out of The Odyssey. Cool movie.

Jaadugar is the first time I recall hearing Genghis Khan pronounced with a soft G. Looked it up, seems like that’s more correct, as far as G sounds go.

Great Discotek night! A lot of 2000s slop that doesn’t interest me, but I love that Discotek does it all. I’ll be getting those Scorpion movies, maybe Patlabor. I’ve got a lot of Kamen Rider to catch up on 😅

I’ve only seen the Meiko Kaji movies, but you run into these posters all the time (often mistaken for Kaji) so I’ve always been curious

We’ve been watching old episodes of Iron Chef and Hattori is my favorite commentator. It helps that his dub actor sounds like Mr Lynch from Home Movies

Ghost in the Shell is beautiful, but proving that I’m still not much of a GitS guy. Jaadugar is incredible. Just great on all fronts. One Piece continues to be a solid production. But this season, each week I’m most excited to tune in to Goodbye Lara 🧜‍♀️
