In the uk, we have both civil and criminal laws to defend against these things. Then there’s the matter of posting the videos online- if there’s an advert attached to the video, you’re gaining financially which comes under GDPR, then there’s the protection from harassment act and the voyeurism act.

Every event trumps the last “pun intended” and becomes normalised. Even frogs would have scrambled out the pot by now. It will take an unimaginable event to make change happen but, we all know that by then, it will be 5 seconds to midnight.

The only saving grace in all this is noting that, unlike the USA, these lesser humans make up only 15-17% of the uk’s more educated population. Much like populism, it all comes down to whomsoever can shout loudest.

Interestingly, the grid storage versions have a life cycle expectancy of 10000-15000 cycles.. approx 30 years. CATL have a deal in place with Hyperstrong to deploy 60Gwh of sodium ion batteries over 3 years…. Lithium ion does 3000-4000 cycles before degradation toward 80%.

CATL have developed the naxtra sodium ion battery which is being used in the Changan Nevo A06- A sedan car. Energy density is 175wh/kg, so comparable to Lion. However, it’s Chinese tech so we’ll let you know how good it is. Maybe you can test it after the next regimen change?
