I had a reminder today that trans people have allies everywhere. The world tries to make us feel like nobody has our backs, and it's true a lot of people don't, but there are people who care out there.

As someone who did a feminist study on trans+autistic people, I find it fascinating that the *SAME MEDIA OUTLETS* that helped scream about how vulnerable autistics were being transed by social contagion are now saying these autistics aren't actually autistic. It's Schrödinger's autistic!

As someone who has been part of the autism community for decades, I'm not worried about people being diagnosed (or self-diagnosed) these days, despite the panic of some allistics. I have yet to meet an autistic who is autistic because it's "trendy".

Being an autistic in the world is fucking hard sometimes.

Being an ally to a marginalized group sometimes means giving up your right to be morally good. Marginalized people might call you out for something. How you respond is part of what differentiates allies from people centering themselves.

Transphobic logic is that 1 cis person who stops HRT is a reason to keep 99 trans people from taking HRT. Trans lives are valued less than cis lives.

It's well known that some assholes who called themselves feminists have been trans exclusionary. However, what is not well known is that by and large, the women's rights movements recognized and accepted trans women. In the 70s, cis lesbians in many cases beat the shit out of anti-trans women.

I want proof that someone who can be swayed to vote Dem in Iowa is actually different than someone who can be swayed to vote Dem in Colorado. This seems to be a central premise of the centralists. But I don't think Iowans are a different species than Coloradans.
