I have a similar duress system on all my devices, not because I have anything to hide but because I 𝘤𝘢𝘯! I used to help journalists (including some famous ones), NGOs and activists secure their data for when they did work in sketchy countries. It looks like America belongs in that category now. 💁

If using strong security becomes probable cause, then the right to privacy has already been quietly hollowed out. The lock isn't the crime. Demanding every door remain unlocked is.
