#hobbystreak day 4. The print is rough with shallow gaps. I decided to pack in the gaps with a PVA glue mixture I made a long time ago. It may peel or turn yellow, but I thought it was worth a go. I am not stressed about it since I feel more free experimenting with painting techniques on it.

Wish I could have gone. I learned to read with Elf Quest and my local comic book store puts any of the old ones they find aside for me. Love this comic!

The YouTuber, Sarah Burns, mentioned she likes to spray her gouache travel paints with water that includes a bit of clove essential oil to deter mold. Now, I spritz my wet palette with the same stuff and I associate the smell of cloves with hobby time. #paintingminiatures

My husband suggested I pick a monster ttrpg mini to repaint every few months so I can compare my painting learning progress. I said that is a good idea, but can't decide and he can pick for me...He selected a frost giant. I think that is the opposite of mini, but it will be fun.

I just pulled out a 20 year piece today! Although mine was for DND or Pathfinder and I always wanted to get into painting and never started. It does feels nice and nostalgic regardless. Your painting looks great!

Update: I am still obsessed with maps, but struggling with staying at the computer long enough after work for technical game design. I am letting go of that goal with the exception of tabletop campaign writing. Right now, I am all in on creating things in miniature. More to come!

Finally hosted the Aliens tabletop game. Everyone had a lot of fun. I highly recommend.

A trick to start a journaling habit, is to keep your journal where you sit to relax. I started keeping a journal where I sit and sip coffee in the am, and somce then, I have been writing consistently since October.

Abandoned buildings always seems to have an air of mystery about them with a hint of spooky.
