Massachusetts Democrats need to start thinking of who the #mapoli gubernatorial nominee will be four years hence. We need someone more like Mike Dukakis and less like a Charlie Baker clone.

When @massgovernor.bsky.social endorses Nick Collins & Will Brownsberger, she's making it easy to be unenthusiastic about her #mapoli re-election campaign. She will win because the alternatives are truly awful, not because she is cozy w/ Beacon Hill troglodytes. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/08/05/n...
When will the #mapoli legislature & @massgovernor.bsky.social realized that our e bus mandate is wrongheaded & needs to be changed asap? You can change this @senatormikebarrett.bsky.social

Good choice. Important step forward toward a well considered approach to managing street design.

City Councilor who seems to have a beef about everything these days gets photographed standing by . . .
The Fort PointerMan arrested for allegedly selling stolen meat, shamed by Councilor Flynn on Tuesday, is named and shamed by the Herald today. The quarter-page photo of the arrest (below) was presumably supplied to the Herald by Flynn, who saw fit to post multiple photos of the man — before a single hearing.
Technology has no conscience. Humans are supposed to bring a moral lens to development & implementation of innovation. Read Mary Shelley’s book. It’s a cautionary tale of innovation without a moral lens to guide it. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/30/b...
If Will Brownsberger is behind something you know right off the bat you should be very skeptical & asking lots of questions. He’s consistently off base when it comes to #mapoli transport issues. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/07/29/m...

I sure hope Burhan gets elected because #mapoli needs this kind of leadership. He’s been a breath of fresh air.
Vice Mayor Burhan AzeemIf we enacted a 2 cent sales tax across the MBTA service region, paid by everyone who benefits from the system, it would raise billions for transit every single year. This program would also bypass the annual funding fight in the State House, which stymies any ambitious transit project.
yes I agree with Ari's sentiments below. It also might be a good time to re-up this article I wrote: commonwealthbeacon.org/opinion/lets...
But anyway, "border tolls" are ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. They rhetorically penalize people going on vacation (even if they mostly hit daily out-of-state commuters), are more easily skipped using local roads, and do little to address congestion closer to the city.
The attack on Berlin Pride is deeply repulsive & abhorrent. The moral rot at the core of this violent crime has to be addressed. The queer community finds itself under attack globally & here in the US. The hatred & the violence cannot stand & all people of good will must speak out.
