A professor once told me lecture prep will take as much time as you give it. I usually worked on my lectures almost to the last minute the first time, but the second time teaching a course was much easier.

So many kids in rural Nova Scotia where I grew up had the Value books, I think because they came in some kind of mail subscription format? I read them a ton despite the fact that they had mostly American history and weren’t in fact historically accurate at all.
