Be that as it may be, while I was already in junior high school when Scrappy-Doo was introduced I do remember my younger classmates absolutely hating the character himself even as they continued to watch the series. So they appreciated my joke that the name "Scrappy-Doo" had one 'S' too many.

Yeah; despite its apparently modest budget the TV series did surprisingly okay with its special effects (for example, the headless motorcyclist is pretty obvious with the suspiciously tall jacket but it somehow doesn't detract from the story) so it was still scary to too-young viewers, lol

Oh, thank you. I'd seen pics before & knew it was a museum piece (figured yours was a replica from the museum) but couldn't remember what museum. After some searching online I found the bowl on the Met's website; wondered about replicas but didn't see a shop on the website. Good to know about eBay!

When I came back the cats were absolutely thrilled, even ecstastic, to see me home. Guess they were surprised to see me back home so soon after my previous absence having been 2 weeks so they were all the happier to have me back home >^..^< 3/3

Quite likely that my cats were happy to have my two grown kids (who had moved out into places of their own & started new careers so they weren't around much) taking care of them as they all adore each other. A couple months later I was gone for 3 days (helping one of my kids move to another city) 2/

Aawww >^..^< Very, very rarely do I ever go out of town but once I was gone for 2 weeks (helping fix up a friend's inherited mtn cabin) & when I came back my cats were happy to see me but more like "oh, okay, you're here, wevs." I was slightly nonplussed (but not nonpussed, ha.) 1/
