All of these Washington "deadlines" are a farce. They don't really have real deadlines, they can stall the vote as long as they want to.

She was only supposed to do one term. George Bush had 2 secretaries of state also. This is not unusual. Bush had Colin Powell & Condoleezza Rice. You are not worth the discussion because you obviously don't know what you're talking about.

Beshear also said he believes he has the state constitutional right to appoint a democrat to the seat. That deadline is August 5. The special election deadline is Sept 1st. I think he should just appoint a democrat.

It's not devastating unless and until Talarico is polling over 50%... having 45% is not a good number for a Democrat in the state. He needs to crack 50% to have a real shot of winning

Kentucky's GOP law on gubernatorial appointments is unconstitutional. Beshear must move forward with appointing his own interim Senator & let the rest play out in the courts.

That law the legislature passed was unconstitutional according to Kentucky's constitution. So he could rightfully appoint whomever he wanted, & then allow the courts to get involved, which also forces McConnell's hand (living or dead). If KY's GOP wants to amend the constitution, there's a process.

Because he is compromised. The Russians got to him after his stroke.

Why does she always have to be in pictures with him

Mitch McConnell is either deceased or has lost his speaking/reasoning abilities. Either way he should at minimum do a live Fox News interview on camera.

Why aren't we hearing the word inflation by reporters in the news media? Or is that just a Democratic issue?
