This isn't a problem where I live (because MO) but when traveling places where it might be an issue I bring my own regular straws. (As for metal reusable straws I pass for many reasons, one of which is either finding a place to clean the straw or carrying around a dirty straw the rest of the day).

Every time I see a really low scoring game, I think "maybe someone will manage to break the low scoring record" and then they go on to score at least 40 points and I think again "how did they manage to score so few points."

My dad's mom didn't work, she had seven kids and didn't know how to drive (in a city where that was a necessity for getting places). The thing is from what I've heard my dad's dad often didn't work either and therefore therefore they moved a lot and did without. My mom's mom worked in a bar.

My mom didn't work from the time I was about three and half until I was about ten. She got fired when she was pregnant with my brother and it was too hard to get hired while pregnant. My dad was probably still union construction then but we later had plenty of times when he was $10/hr construction.

In 2019, I started a plan to make leggings part of my work wardrobe. Then I broke my wrist. I was glad I had that plan because leggings were the only pants I could get up and down on my own to use the restroom. Several years later, all I wear is leggings.
