Some recent sketches, mostly done straight to ink with a 6mm Pilot Parallel Pen and Pilot Namiki ink on Staples cover stock, except for the watercolor, which is a 6mm Pilot Parallel Pen with Platinum Carbon Ink and Daniel Smith watercolors on Arches hot press watercolor paper.

Some of my favorite tools, though that little compass is technically not a favorite. They last about a year on average before something goes wrong with them. That big one though, that’s a lifer. If anyone has a little compass they highly recommend, let me know!

I read this while I was on vacation last week and really enjoyed it. It felt like the creative pep talk I needed, and it was a treat to hear Miller talk about Vermont, where I also grew up (the movie theater he talks about going to in high school is the same movie theater I went to in high school).
