I would welcome the west coast alignment and then bring in the northeast friends. All the madness of the USA could be dismantled if this happened. Also, we would be connected to Mexico, which would further empower democratic values.

But this assumes there is a shared understanding of what it means to 'support communities'. At present, there is no such shared understanding. The communities that support democracy are targeted for destruction by Republicans. They want to do what Israel is doing to Palestine. Define terms.
