Like okay..... but I, a human with a brain and hands and eyes, can do it, and good code written by a human can do it, so what are we accomplishing here besides wasting time (nothing)

We used to have very good automation that a nice programmer would code for us, and it actually worked and alleviated my workload of repetitive tasks, but now they're having me work with someone else who's trying to feed my test scripts into AI and coming back every day with "well it can't do that"

It's not the tub specifically I guess, it's like, the silicone surround needs 24 hours to seal properly and harden, because this involved tearing out and basically replacing the entire wall around the tub area

Anyway, I'm working on Jabberwocky now. Obviously. This one is cheating a little bit because I already had the first verse stashed away in my head somehow and I have a bunch of guide bits ("oh frabjous day! callooh! callay!") that you just don't FORGET having encountered them even once in childhood

It took me almost two weeks to memorize a non-rhyming six line poem, and then immediately after that, only four days to memorize sixTEEN lines that rhymed lmao like this is one of those things I was vaguely aware of from various school mnemonic devices but I didn't realize it was THIS strong

I actually had more time set aside for writing today but it got eaten up by an inconveniently-timed bout of The Agonies, forcing me to waste time fighting and dismissing thoughts like "everything I've ever made is garbage" and "I am a failure and a fraud and no one cares". You know, like normal

I went downstairs to take a call and I came back up to Walk Like an Egyptian. it's like a parody of itself. it's actually probably good that I have a genuine nostalgic fondness for all these songs that makes me go "aww it's like hanging out with mom again" rather than "jesus christ THIS again"
