It is 1 year to the day since I had my last chemo infusion. Padcev is a hell of a drug. Fucks you up but keeps you alive. My mind and body are just now starting to feel regulated. A long way to go but quite happy to be around for the journey.

Well the other thing is she asked me a couple months ago if she could just “crash here for a bit” and I explained why it wasn’t a good idea. She hasn’t spoken to me since! Then today she just texts me when she’s 5 minutes away asking to come over.

Maybe I am the asshole here. I usually am. But using my formula of avoiding my toxic family has basically saved my life the last 20 years so I just have to trust the process.

The thing is the last 2 times she said she was coming to see me she just … never showed up or called. I didn’t even bring this up today! Just asked she give me a minute to process this. That wasn’t what she wanted so she just stopped talking to me.

If you thought me gently explaining that the way she went about our reunion didn’t really work for me and her acting very victimized you would be correct.

And she’s the only person in my entire family I’ve even spoken to in almost 20 years. No one else even has my number. FOR THIS REASON
