His optic blasts aren't lasers either, right...?

I don't know much X-Men lore, but one thing I DO know is the Cyclops' eyebeams are strictly concussive, and are NOT heat beams like Superman's, right? Below is one of two gags in Jeffrey Brown's DAYS OF FUTURE FUN comic which involves Cyclops' eyebeams being heat beams.

I was looking at greeting cards today, and found one with Gemma Correll art on it. I knew she had drawn it before I even picked it up out of its slot and saw her signature because I recognized the face on her pug in the upper right corner.

I hate that this headline made me laugh.

There's like a whole graphic novel worth of exciting content in this single, 22-page issue from 31 years ago. I was planning to post about the next few issues of the series on my blog tomorrow, but re-skimming this one, I realized it would take way too long to cover everything notable in it in time.

The Soft Master scares away Destro and philosophizes about guns and evil men, Spirit talks to a bald eagle (Freedom...?), a giant bear trees various characters and gets vaporized in an explosion, Lady Jaye is introduced and argues with Scarlett...this one issue has so much cool stuff in it.

I read these two comics about soccer for young readers in the last week or so. They are...very different.

(Still better than his gold-masked Iron Grenadier look, though...!)

ZOM 100: BUCKET LIST OF THE DEAD Vol. 20 introduces another great character: Yui Yonamine. Having suffered from anxiety her whole life, when the zombie outbreak starts, she finds the worst-case scenarios she always imagines coming true repeatedly, and her anxiety becoming a sort of zombie radar.
