I’ve been to Vegas with others & no matter how close we were I’d feel alone! I couldn’t have predicted this a year ago but I’m actually feeling pretty good about this year’s #HackerSummerCamp because while I’m going solo for the first time in a while I’m not going to be alone! 🥰

Even though I probably shouldn’t have done even a little walk last night after my earlier medical episode. I’m glad I did so because I got to see the family I saved in May is doing ok! 🥰 Also I cast a weird shadow. 😁

Huge shout out to my grrl Lindsay! Woke up at 2 in the morning with a minor medical emergency. Knowing she’s in South Africa and awake I FaceTimed her and she insisted on getting me some fluids and stuff. Via Uber Eats. 💜 Over 15 years of 🥰🥰🥰

Almost as soon as I started I could tell I’d just be limping through it! My personal cheerleader though told me she’s still proud of me and speed isn’t what matters most. It’s stamina and endurance which gets you over the finish line! So I kept going! ☺️

I’m having ice cream for breakfast because… Well because… I can!!! 😜

Despite the scary selfie I love walking at night in the woods more than in the neighborhood! The 4 legged neighbors are less likely to bother me than the others😁 Also found my brace for my malfunctioning limb but the servo still froze up in the last mile or so. 🫤

In the middle of my walk when I got a message from a very good friend. She reminded me of some reasons why I need to be in shape for DEF CON… Her reasons were persuasive! That motivation led me to do 7 miles in under an hour and a half for the first time ever! ☺️

Wut?!? What do you mean that those phone booths don’t really exist! My poor sad little pager after all the great work it hypothetically did on this tour! 🫤 😁

There are a lot of great places you can take your @hak5.bsky.social #SharkJack to visit with you as you tour a city! A CEO’s office just might be one of those places… so I’ve heard! 😅

I love all the opportunities working at @covertswarm.bsky.social gives me to meet kind, helpful people and being always able to see the best in someone… Even though sometimes they should be less quick to help a stranger charge their hearing aids even though I do appreciate it! 😅

I know I don’t look handsome or cool! That’s totally fine I’m just happy having that look all raccoons & #RedTeamers strive for… Harmless & Adorable! ☺️
