The amount of misinformation in this thread is WILD. Passkeys don’t require biometrics, they’re far better than passwords, they don’t require a phone, and they can be synced across many devices. Not going to pile on OP because I get it, there is a LOT to keep up with.
weederNobody ever explained to me what a passkey is or how they work. Websites just started asking me for passkeys like it's something we talked about.
