Deep Cuts in a Lovecraftian VeinBook catalogue project, entry 727: Sešitová řada Poutník č. 2: Conan barbar a jiné povidky (1991, Klub Julese Vernea) by Robert E. Howard, KTK. (trans.), Pavel D. Kolář (trans.), Luděk Chalupa (trans). Magazine. Clean pages, minimal wear.
Clean, crisp and "peak" graphics almost exclusively happen at the very end (and after) of the current technological paradigm. We are nowhere near that and/or too poor to afford it. "But we've been pushing raytracing and temporal methods for years!" Yea, not there yet. Also you need 4k.
Herbert"graphics don't matter art direction does" bugs me re:AAA games because graphically, they look like shit!!!! they turn into a boiling mess if you dare to move or look around! they're too sharp and too blurry at the same time! so hard to parse they have to add markers everywhere! the graphics suck!!!
Looks like we've shown off the model for this guy elsewhere. Let's see if videos work for me today. I'm quite happy with how this one ended up, considering we've not done many monsters so far. (model by our character artist - Veronika Levitner)
Jan PospíšilAnd since it was shared in the first Kromlech EA dev diary, I guess I can show this concept I did recently for a future NPC. Our concept artist Hanka did a lot of early work on this guy and I pretty much just polished it for production.
Lovely hue and saturation distribution.
