I've just been astonished by how good this goddamn vampire show is. They spent two seasons doing this masterful slow build to a personal tragedy and then were like, "from now on the show is a maniacal rockumentary with a ranting self-destructive narrator. We saw Velvet Goldmine 10,001 times."
Waverlywe've been watching THE VAMPIRE LESTAT and i am in absolute awe of what a hard stylistic pivot the show has taken from "the show previously titled INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE". we're only three episodes deep into this season, i feel unqualified to comment on its success, but WHAT a fucking big swing
