First Slimming World experience. Have been sent home with a lot of reading material and lots of terminology to learn. Target weight loss is 32.5kg. I would like to achieve this but it seems very far away.

A colleague has asked me advice on an egg substitute dish as she has been diagnosed with an intolerance but "really loves" eggs. She is talking about breakfast dishes like fried, boiled or scrambled. The best I can come up with is tofu scramble with kala namak & tumeric. But...

What a cutie!

Bananas, apricots, cherries, lettuce and mayonnaise is what I would call a challenging dish.

Spent ages yesterday wondering where all my socks & underwear had gone. Searched through the laundry pile, airing cupboard, drawers. Eventually decided to just put the laundry on and worry later. Opened the machine and there's a full drum of wet socks & pants. <sigh>

#Nottingham #Pride this weekend, though I was working this morning and foot is sore. So enjoying the view of the tree at my window. It's a beautiful warm, sunny day here and there is almost no noise. No lawnmowers because nothing has grown for weeks now. Ground is yellow. At least it's quiet.

Straight pubs are full of entitled wankers.

In hope rather than expectation, I've signed up to slimming world. A colleague has lost an impressive five stone in a year. I'm quite dreading it though. Food and drink is a complete joy.

Reflecting recently on Brexit & the Good Friday Agreement. GFA took years of negotiation, walkouts, compromise, agreement, then a full text sent to every household & THEN a decision. Brexit was a one-liner vote, then the rest followed. Referenda should be the end of a process, not the start.

The £2 bus fare cap can put £10 a week back in someone's pocket. It makes getting to work easier. And if you resent making it easier for people to get to work for whom £10 is a bigger proportion of their daily income than it is yours, get a life.
