he is really old now, and rather than thinking about pain and basic bodily functions the vet asked what his three favourite things are. and to pay attention to whether he can still do his favourite things

but maybe he likes other things more

i think his favourite bit of his day is after he sits on my knee watching to make sure I don't finish every last drop of cereal, when i finally put the bowl down so he can lap up the last little pool of milk

Exactly. Crocs, Birkenstocks, Altras etc all look goofy, but that is the shape which feet are. Narrow, pointy shoes are some sort of scam from Big Thin Shoe
