Welp, I’m up way past my bedtime, but we have a draft saved in AO3 to review one more time in the morning before setting it free. Please look forward to it. :3

If you have a backlog of ideas you want to explore, keep those in mind and see if a given day’s prompt sparks something. (This is how I’ve written a lot of the fics in To the Sun.) Set small, achievable goals if those motivate you! I like to pick something and keep it secret until the end.

Some things that have helped me: Set up your docs/folders ahead of time. Take as much friction out of the getting-started process as you can. Embrace the messy first draft and just put words down. Write when there’s time, not when there’s inspiration.
