Also… this one’s out September 4th. I don’t want to sit on music anymore, I don’t like it. This is a half hour long. I tried to not write so much music but I fucking love writing music and it serves no purpose sitting on a hard drive.

The problem was we wanted the pattern to run long ways so it was just two huge peices I had to line up. Was NOT WORTH IT. Easy to get the first one up but having to line the pattern up while also fighting gravity to seam them was a horror and my neck is killing me. Will redo with LxW swapped.

I said I wasn’t going to write music. 20 minutes into this sucker. Started off fairly doomy but it’s just… I dunno. Whatever it is do. Maybe it’s closer to the Great Sun… album I did more recently. A long one no droney bits.

This album came up casually the other day and I was glad to be reminded of it. Gave it a listen today. Really great stuff if you like either Nick Drake or Anathema, and if you enjoy both well… come on. Danny Cavanagh is great.

I’ve posted about Witnessess before in the context of their doom music. This album is a wonderful ambient one from them. It’s SO gorgeous. I just got the vinyl this weekend and this was my first spin of it. It sounds so lush and excellent. Beautiful album.

Day three of having bangs. Washed my hair already which I don’t normally do too frequently but wanted to see how they held up if not blow dried or styled. Releived to find I still like them. Less work is a win on account of my exquisite laziness. That was the only bit of oh no what’ve I done left.

Was goofing around about topless Ice Dale. Looked into his ‘other’ bands and found one that absolutely enscorcelled me. Very off center prog music. Like it’s made from the cooler bits of old Genesis tracks and… something else? Album goes places. Feels like a soundtrack in a good way. Amazing.

Last friends! @amiintrouble.bsky.social and I made a ripper track for the @shiftctrlmusic.com comp, I knew going in I was going to redo it for this album. I loved how the song came out but I wanted MORE SOLOS So this is a restructured/alt take with more solos! Dan Gargiulo plays a sweet solo!

Accidental doom song happening tonight. whoops.

This is quite an experience to go through. Excellent stuff. Son of the White Mare has been a long time favorite of mine but this is really something else entirely. Mesmerizing at points. Wholly a great watch. Hadn’t planned to but may watch Son of The White Mare tonight.

I really like enslaved. The run of albums from Mardraum to RIITIIR is amazing. 8 albums in 12 years and they all are very very good. I don’t dislike the post RIITIIR albums but I do feel they are not as wholly engaging as albums… with one or two heading towards snoozville.
