Can't say I was expecting Rhythm Heaven Groove to have yuri story mode with the most insanely metal bullshit hard difficulty spike final boss in recent memory, but damn. Yu and Narra for the next Smash game pls, or a dedicated Beatspell standalone game.

I played two chapters of Beatspell in Rhythm Heaven Groove and I already need the magician girl in the next Smash game expeditiously.

Not going to lie, I've never been more happy for a demo to prove me wrong, because the Star Fox (2026) demo actually fucking rules. The new cutscenes add so much character, the tutorial stage is recontextualized, the cast actually come off as standoffish rogue mercenaries, and THE MUSIC AAAAAA.

Another 10 years of Xenoblade 2 discourse. Anyways my cold take is I don't want a XC2 Switch 2 Edition. I want a proper Definitive Edition with major QOL fixes like overhauling the gacha and field skill mechanics, fixing the awful UI, and better conveyance of proper blade combos and chain attacks.

In spite of my gut reaction in the moment. The CGs for the characters look way better and the actual gameplay looks incredible. I think if they just led with that James McCloud cinematic before splashing the cold water, it might have landed way better initially. Katt still looks horrendous though.

It's great that The Amazing Digital Circus is going out with a bang and a theatrical release. That said, showings are selling out fast and making everyone else who supported it wait two weeks knowing full well it's going to be spoiled online immediately is so ass lol
