For anyone who needs it, editor attributes is free on the unity asset store and is a very simple way of adding functional buttons and other handy bits and pieces to the inspector #gamedevtips

I would be doing myself a big favor if I set up good debug stuff for this game. Buttons to clear player stats / rewards, add levels / experience etc. Is this where I finally stop playing the whole game through to test it? I wish unity made custom inspector buttons easier to implement. Tips welcome!

What do we think of the name - CUBEMAN IS REAL?? Would something more descriptive of gameplay be better? I like something that hints at the narrative concept more than "vertical cyber rogue" type stuff... Hit me with your thoughts #gamedev

I feel you. Sometimes you gotta rip the bandage off though lol. Im just hoping rebuilding what I have won't take too long in 3D. And you just know there will be unforseen surprises along the way!

As usual with game dev, its all taking longer than i planned, but i think its worth the time investment. I will be getting a steam page set up soon to start gathering wishlists and after that comes finishing a demo and applying to events. Wish me luck! And shout if any questions or thoughts ❤️

A seperate issue im dealing with is ui toolkit. I like the workflow, and the gui interface is close to web / figma so its comfortable. However, i cant for the life of me work out menu navigation using keyboard or gamepad. Its supposed to work out of the box but i guess im the exception.

Im planning to rebuild in unity 3D once i have a vertical slice ready. Still need to finish the exp / level up system and the end of level rewards system, and a few other things first. 3D objects in a tilemap using rule tiles mostly work and that should hopefully migrate to a 3D workspace.
