My tables have made half-jokes about vampires either being behind or massively embracing the explosion of AI deepfakes in the last few years. Everyone having a camera in their pocket is a lot less of a danger when people's first instinct is to disbelieve anything weird on video as AI-generated.

I did not appreciate having to hunt down the setting book for Chicago to get access to one of the playable clans. They eventually released a Player's Guide with all the clans, but that was yet another purchase (and felt like a deliberate attempt at course-correction).

V5 feels newer than it is because the aforementioned behind-the-scenes mess means it never put out books at anywhere near the expected pace (including only 3 gamelines getting 5e versions at all), but we've been in 5e for a good long while now.
