I'm glad the GOP has a competitive gubernatorial primary in Michigan: It should really cut down on the number of Republicans going and voting in the Dem Senate race. Also because them wasting all that money fighting each other for gov is probably very good for Michigan Dems and Dems in general.

Is there an example of a genuinely mostly online primary campaign that's been successful in American politics? And I don't mean "Campaign whose posts annoyed me," I really do mean online foremost. You know the type. More posting activity than canvassing. More references to Twitter than the economy.

I'm kinda amused by the possibility that Mallory McMorrow lost out on being a Senator not because she was advised by Lis Smith, but because she specifically said she wouldn't vote for Chuck Schumer as Senate Caucus Leader. If she'd asked Schumer to support her instead of his fourth choice pick?

Like I've said, Democrats should be running charismatic moderates in swing districts like Francesca Hong who can appeal to Republicans, instead of radical extremists like Blue Dog Democrats whose policy positions are so unpopular with the average moderate voter.
