A 7-bedroom farmhouse from the 1800's is being torn down across the street today because it couldn't be sold... ... which isn't the whole story because it's still attached to 43 acre property that was going for $800k last we checked.

Taking this a step backwards (or forwards) this is also what I mean by "RPGs are folks art" or "you can never run the same adventure (cross the same river) twice". Every time you play or run an RPG, you are creating a unique expression of that game, where it be by chance, interpretaion, or design.

Also caught up with the new GitS! (Ghost in the Shell) Love the animation. So-so on the rest. I've heard this is a more faithful adaptation and that lack of filter apparently shows off some of the more problematic social attitudes of the time.

Sometimes it takes a while to get around to things, but tonight I not only caught up with watching The Bone Temple, but I streamed it in a virtual drive in on VR (Alone, but it was still fun.) It's night to have the alternative.

We live in a rural area where NYC people have been moving into for teh past decade, buying up places to fix up and visit/flip. We barely afforded our house when we bought it, we can't afford to buy here now if we wanted too. Today I got a cold text asking how much to buy our home. LOL

I guess I'm old, becuase it always takes me off-guard when an employer asks me to download a an app on my person tech to do work. I'm not surprised that they don't want to spend money on a business phone just to host an auth app. I am surprised that the device's security is not a concern.

Was talking about higher level D&D games at a party yesterday, so.ething a lot of us don't have a lot of XP with. I said that I don't mind combat getting more swingy and shorter., so you can walk away without a scratch or kill a character. Death really isn't an obstacle anymore.

The question came up today and I think we're done with PAX Unplugged. I've been very vocal about my love for PAX and what it has meant to me to feel comfortable in these spaces since we attended the first PAX East, but we have grown apart in a few ways.

And the mystery of the missing 2014 DMG has been solved. I lent it out, months ago, to a friend with the 2014 starter set. We lost touch for a while and he just popped up again and returned it.

Today I had to answer for doing bad work when I had a silent migraine. I clearly underestimated my ability to work while sick. I really don't like that I let it happen and I don't expect understanding from work, but that's just how it goes. Next time I'll have to call out.
