My dad played a lot of the Beatles, but other than that not a big classic rock guy. Mostly classical, jazz, big band, and standards, Tony Bennet, Diana Krall, etc My mom was big into 90s country (tbf, it was the 90s) and singer/songwriter/folk. Lots of Carly Simon/Carole King/James Taylor, etc.

This reminds of when I was in first grade and for show & tell I brought in my favorite book, The Sorcerer's Apprentice. Fully illustrated children's book, mind you. My teacher scolded me, saying I should have brought in something simpler, bc my classmates might not know all the words.
