The final moments of this are searing. Robards, dying of radiation sickness, sees a family in the ruins of his house in Kansas City. He snarls “Get out of my house.” We think of the two countries that started this all. Here we are again. Men at each other’s throats for not one good goddamn reason.

Back on “Day After,” the bombs have dropped and the characters are in what I would call a sub-optimal situation.

People are glazing “Obsession” as an amazing motion picture, but it’s all lies. They filmed 24 still frames a second to create the *illusion* of movement. This isn’t motion, people.

Was thinking of doing a thread that periodically updates with some of my favorite horror novels of the 21st century but then realized it’s all stuff you’d be familiar with; the point is, man, horror novels are fun as hell.

Unfollowed someone for promoting the lab leak theory and going one step further and saying it was likely synthesized because it “didn’t feel like” a regular virus when he got it. Great science, really good thoughts.

Peter Parker should eat small animals by latching onto them with fangs, dispensing enzymes into their prone bodies, and sucking up their now-liquefied organs. He should then fight Doc Ock.
