I remember this day, and the iconic photo of the young woman, mouth open in a cry or scream, kneeling next to her fallen fellow student. The worse day in America in terms of the deaths of innocents at the hands of our own people, until now as ICE racks up more and more deaths every week, it seems.
The recurring pattern is fear being used to justify dehumanization, surveillance, imprisonment or violence ~ especially against minorities, protesters and people challenging those in power. There are many moments in U.S. history when government power was used against its own people. #SheShed
