Whether it's Ben Goldacre or his various satellites rolling up to defend his "don't speak ill of the dead" Liddle comment I have found cis men of a certain age to be incredibly blind to things which don't effect them. When challenged it's "Oh, what's all that about?"

Ben Goldacre isn't just imperially racist but also violently transphobic. He'd fit right in with the Labour party because this is their publicly stated policy as documented in Labour Together's 'Red Shift' strategy document.

Oh for sure this has been going on for decades whether it's via the US aligned Tufton Street or the Russian embassy, or funding of mayhem via NGO "cut outs" like the Heritage Foundation/ADF or dark money launderers like Orban.

Said the 380K account coasting off the back of being a famous author. Personally I find these modern short-form timeline based smartphone orientated platforms unusable for getting anything done or building a community.

Ben Goldacre wrote a book called "Bad Science". To the best of my knowledge he has never publicly called out the transphobic Cass Review. Yet, he's all polite form when it comes to criticising the transphobic Rod Liddle after he's dead. He cares more about his dead mates than living trans people.

One thing the trans community misses is the big accounts and orgs are set up to solve problems for them not the rest of us. They've more interested in marketing themselves than solving problems that matter. It all becomes about them not us.

imo what some trans women especially the broadcast only big accounts and old lags coasting on reputation and organisations are about is maintaining an audience. It's a micro form of feudalism not a useful function or community.

I think the idea of "building an audience" is what is wrong with what social media has become. It's all about being an egomaniac and edgy well marketed influencer or coasting on a job title not a community.

All the glazing of Liddle is no different to the glow-ups Starmer got when he was kicked out in disgrace. It's the elite managing reputations and rewriting history. This is not journalism. It's a protection racket.

No doubt similar techniques are used by transphobic organisations to peddle transphobia at the political and corporate decision layer.

One day the transphobic politicians and journalists who abused trans girls and trans women will be seen in the same light as the egregious habits of various 1970's rockstars and office sex pests. Hopefully some of them will also go to jail.
