i found the fun in the silly, sloppy driving but hard agree on the objectives falling into tedium shockingly fast i kept overshooting the star minimums and being left with "boost/drift x distance" ones lingering and it drove me nuts

so b/c FF lost me but i still wanted games like it, i ended up branching out and really diving into RPGs like SMT, DQ, Disgaea, so on and so forth beyond just screwing around with emulators so shoutouts to FFX for disappointing me so much as a child i became a sicko happy 25th lol
