-does when confronted with assassination attempts, holds a lot of really fascinating parallels and messages I hope to explore here in a few weeks once people have a chance to enjoy the book for themselves. The setting of Tython is also a major plus, and should excite many, but I can't say more.- 2/3

#StarWarsLegacy is an excellent exploration of Rey and Leia in the Sequel Trilogy, providing a great degree of depth about where each of them are at mentally post-TLJ and also showing us the beginnings of things which later emerge in TROS. The B-plot, exploring FO activities and what fascism- 1/3

-to surrounding systems, but with each brief stop in, a little more of her thinks of the outpost and its occupants as a home away from Coruscant. Many thanks again to @afelipeart.bsky.social for helping depict Mataril in this great artwork! 3/3

Of the new canon Sith and Acolytes introduced over the years, which is your favorite? Thinking of characters like Momin, Siberus, Caldoth, etc. but also characters like The Stranger or others you might count among that number.

-the Sequel Trilogy should pick up, even if romance isn't their thing. Another plus, it is extremely queer positive! I won't talk about the book's details yet, but @theroguerebels.com's own review mentioning history, archeology, old-time serials and more, is very accurate. A very fun time for all!

@ashleyposton.bsky.social's #StarWars #EyesLikeStars is a wonderful story I was delighted to read. A heartfelt YA romance between two intriguing characters, the connections to the wider universe and the expansion of what we already knew about that era also means the novel is something fans of- 1/2

I’m very excited to get my hands on this story! Sounds like a lot of very interesting elements right up my alley.

-large portions of the galaxy's Imperial-loyal and Imperial-employed populace into participating in the new government post-Galactic Civil War. The NR don't fully succeed, but I look forward to further stories that explore this parallel in particular, especially if we see more small successes. 4/4

-has to be one of the worst. Thankfully, other storytelling in the franchise approaches parallels to post-war relationships better, such as how the final novel in the Alphabet Squadron Trilogy blends ideas of Denazification and Reconstruction into the New Republic's efforts to reincorporate- 3/4

-post-Civil War. We thankfully don't have much exploration of this awkward parallel, but it is still bizarre that we see this in a narrative so extensively against authoritarian powers, inequality, and exploitation. There are plenty of other awkward weddings of ideas in Star Wars, but this- 2/4

Iterating off of yesterday's post regarding parallels in #StarWars, one of the most awkward parallels that can come out of the defeat of the Separatists ie. the Confederacy, is how it can be read as turning the Republic and Empire into the Union, thus the United States, post-Clone Wars aka,- 1/4

There's a lot of room to explore a lot of definitions of CIS-pride post-Empire. Its possible CIS homeworlds were among the worlds that went independent and unaligned post-Jakku, or were among the half of the galaxy swallowed by the First Order after the Centrist's secession. Sky is the limit!

-but it would be fascinating to see a New Republic-era story explore former Separatist worlds glorifying the CIS military and rejecting their old civilian leaders for failures during the Clone Wars. Revanchist CIS vs Revanchist Imperials post-Jakku or an anti-Republic team up from hell anyone? 5/5

-except themselves for the loss, and allowed, even encouraged, civilian leaders to take the brunt of the public's anger. In #StarWars, that's where this parallel breaks down, as we largely see Separatist populations remaining loyal to their civilian leaders even with the rise of the Empire,- 4/5
