This feature is SO COOL I love comics and this made me giddy when I used it for the first time. Can't wait to see more!
Standard ReaderStandard Reader reads comics now. It works out which publications are comics on its own (based on the content and publication settings). They get a shelf of covers instead of a list of pages, and open in a full-screen reader that runs the whole publication as one continuous book.
Tomorrow's @standard-reader.app feature SLAPS
I realized I was being stupid and that all labelers should just be supported 😅 I filtered out all the dead ones ~60%
Standard ReaderLabelers v2 in Standard Reader: we deleted our own labelers. Any atproto labeler now works with zero setup, and your installed Bluesky labelers follow you to our app! The directory is the whole network, ones we think are for @standard.site near the top.
Build good things, make them better This is the only way! People generally don’t care about any technical details, just usefulness
damehard pill to swallow for atproto developers/creators: 99% of potential users either do not care about, value, understand, or want to “own their own data” i see so many apps/projects lead with this “value prop”, but it’s not an important or meaningful consideration for most people
Thanks for the @standard-reader.app shoutout on @syntax.fm @danabra.mov! @wesbos.com @tolin.ski you guys should check it out 🙂 Bonus: you set @standard.site up for your blogs and the pod too. Then you can join @whiskey.fm and @devtools.fm
If you use Firefox and my apps and have ever thought to yourself, “why does hipstersmoothie make the ugliest sites?” Well it’s cause I use textbox trim ☠️
Firefox NightlyFirefox now supports the text-box-trim and text-box-edge CSS properties, and the associated text-box shorthand. These properties allow you to control the leading space above and below text, enabling simpler and consistent vertical spacing and alignment. bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi...
