I'm a foster parent and have seen horribly dysfunctional bio parents have more appropriate responses to injuries or ED visits. Normal parents (even most of the bad ones) want to make sure the kid is okay first.

She isn't a big personality like some past politicians, but she's genuinely doing a good job and has made more of a difference in seven months than I can remember any past mayor making. She's just doing her job quietly instead of tooting her own horn all the time.
