Electric Circuits and electricity in general quite possibly the thing I hate teaching most at GCSE. Complete waste of time when everyone knows electricity is actually magic and I hate being part of the conspiracy covering this up.
Alom ShahaI‘ve spent my working life teaching and “communicating” science but there’ve been lots of times in my career when I’ve had a class and wished that, instead of electric circuits or whatever, I was teaching students how to cook dal or something else useful. (I have in fact used lesson time to do this)
