Since 2008, VIM has provided a collaborative space for scholars across career stages to share work, receive constructive feedback, and strengthen professional networks within the field. VIM 2026 continues this tradition in Berlin.

Organised by Asya Magazinnik, Professor of Social Data Science at the Hertie School, and hosted by the Hertie School Data Science Lab, the conference will welcome more than 70 people from across the field.
