I'm in a similar situation with Mac OS. I use two apps daily. They're older apps because they function better than the new "updated" versions and I don't have to rent them. My MBP is 5 years old. I may have to keep it forever and never upgrade the OS beyond 26. JFC, just make Rosetta a paid add on.
