My 96 year old Dad does. He hates rump and what he’s doing to our country. He can’t believe what is happening and says he hopes to stick around long enough for to see justice.

Exactly. I’ve said the same before. And I know with women you’d still get your evil nut jobs, but at least we would be free of this SA stuff. For real, what percent of men have these histories or just these misogynistic attitudes? Sadly, seems pretty high.

If we are ever able to regain some semblance of sanity, I would like to see us put into law that any member of Congress or the Senate must have the same healthcare as their constituents, are restricted to 2 to 3 weeks vacation, and don’t get paid if they don’t show up to work.

FFS. Give us candidates who: Aren’t rapists. Aren’t Nazis. Aren’t racists or misogynists. Put people over corporate greed. Actually care about public service and not enriching themselves. Are by all accounts just decent fucking people. Bonus points if they aren’t millionaire businessmen.

This is enraging. Mills may not have been the flashy slick talker but she stood up to T at that governors’ lunch when no one else would. Once it’s revealed that someone has a Nazi too that should be it. Trust broken. Then accusations after that a month ago? Ample opportunities to find someone new.

Why don’t we just work to protect endangered species now so they don’t go extinct? Why don’t we protect this planet and work to reverse and slow the impacts of climate change vs thinking we’ll just try to populate another planet? We already have a beautiful planet and creatures here, why ruin it?

Part of being a writer is that it’s kind of like figuring out a puzzle. You have to decide how to put the right words together, the order of the sentences, and the structure to make it make sense and make it good. I like the process. I like the struggle. I don’t want AI to just figure it out for me.

Being a successful business person does not equate to being a successful public servant, simply because the objectives are entirely different. A business’ goal is to make profits, a government’s is to make life better for its citizens. Rarely do they mix.

Watching those videos reminded me what our government & our leaders could be. Compassionate. Thoughtful. Empathetic. Intelligent. Good humored. Optimistic. Kind. I remembered feeling filled with hope in 2008 & how proud I was of our country the night he got elected. I hope to feel that way again.

So many impeachable crimes and yet never any consequences.
