An artist portfolio should have*: ▪️ A collection of the type of work you're looking for (ie. interiors, covers, etc.) ▪️ A range of your styles that you are comfortable with ▪️ A sample of what you like/want to draw (ie. humans, animals, bicycles, detailed backgrounds, etc.) ▪️ CONTACT 👏 INFO 👏

I'm on the lookout for an available interior comic artist for a middle-grade project. Looking for someone who can draw: kid-friendly, eerie/spooky (Twilight Zone, Gravity Falls, etc.) but fun, human characters, anthropomorphic animals. Please respond w/ samples + folio link. No emails/DMs.

People are really just out there blaming anyone but the billionaires actually responsible for every crisis we're dealing with.

I'm actually furious about this nonsense. If anyone comes up to my table at a show, especially if they have a limited budget to buy things, I try to encourage them to save their money and check out my books at the library because for me, the goal is readers, not money.

I grew up in a town that didn't have any bookstores, it only had a library. My parents supported and encouraged reading, but we didn't have money to spend on books either. The library was one of my favourite places in the world, I borrowed and read books I wouldn't have otherwise have been able to.

What in the WHAT. Not only are libraries a massive source of income for authors (because they have to BUY a MASSIVE amount of books to stock in the library), but in Canada, they even pay authors for each book of ours that is in the library (the Public Lending Right).
